For immediate release: Sept. 22, 2008 Contact: Rob Harper, WEMD, (253) 512-7005 Ted Buehner, NOAA, (206) 526-6095 ext. 223 MEDIA ADVISORY: Statewide Drop, Cover Hold Earthquake Drill at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 Camp Murray, Wash. -A statewide Drop, Cover, Hold earthquake drill will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 as part of the National Preparedness and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Weather Radio Month. The drill will be initiated by a monthly Emergency Alert System test sent to radio and television stations and by a communications test from the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
